Pixels and Dots

As the computer was emerging as a tool for photography and image-making, I became interested in the possibilities, pushing to the point where an image breaks into pixels or dots, and then reappears. Up close, you see tiny specks of color and density, each like a discrete musical note. Step back, and the pixels and dots gather into lines, tones, and bodies, the way single notes gather into melody.
